The Initiative für mehr Demokratie is a volunteer organisation of South Tyrol (autonomous region in Northern Italy) active since 1994 and regularly founded in May 2000 as an recognised association. After 26 years of work, 5 petitions for referendum and 2 referenda, with a total of about 70,000 valid signatures collected, we were finally able, in July 2018, to obtain effective and relatively easy to apply direct democracy instruments for our region. Our next goal: reform the parliamentary system
