We are a group of students from around the world, united by a shared passion for democratic education, who decided to embark on a journey to create democratic change! We partake in designing a yearly workshop on the future of democracy, which is held at the historic Wartburg castle. Our vision is to encourage and enable university students across the world to partake in pro-democratic action, whether they may do that as a citizen, politician, bureaucrat or an activist.

We were formed in October of 2023 in Eisenach, Germany in a Future of Democracy-forum organized by the Gesellschaft zur Erforschung der Demokratiegeschichte (GEDG).
SNFD is currently hosted by a Finnish NGO Network on Future Democracy Finnish Office ry
