We are an international network of university students and graduates, united by a shared goal of democratic education. We partake in organizing the annual Student Forum on Future Democracy, which is held at the historic Wartburg castle. Our vision is to encourage and enable youth across the world to partake in pro-democratic action, whether they may do that as a citizen, politician, bureaucrat or an activist.

We were formed in October of 2023 in Eisenach, Germany in a Future of Democracy-forum organized by the Gesellschaft zur Erforschung der Demokratiegeschichte (GEDG). 

SNFD is currently hosted by a Finnish NGO Future Demo ry
