Voluntary Organization for Vulnerable Community Development (VOVCOD) is a Sri Lankan non-profit organization working to empower marginalized and conflict-affected communities through human rights, democratic governance, peacebuilding, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Since 2000, VOVCOD has strengthened community participation, access to justice, women's and youth leadership, and inclusive development across the Northern and Eastern Provinces.

HISTORY

VOVCOD - is a Local Non Governmental Organization based in Sri Lanka. The root of the organization lies in the late 1980’s when a group of youth commenced voluntary service activities for their own vulnerable community in Trincomalee. However intensification of the civil war and consequent displacement prevented the group from expanding its activities. with normalcy slowly returning the restart in 2002.
