How do you verify identity in the Mesh?

The Pueblo Passport is a biometric-digital key that anchors a citizen to the Mesh. It serves as your ID, your wallet, your voting terminal, and your diplomatic credential.

The passport has four aspects.

1. The Biometric Anchor.  Unlike a username, your identity is verified by local "Mesh Keys" (iris, palm, or eDNA). This makes the identity non-stealable and ensures that “One Life = One Voice” in the digital democracy.
2. The Stewardship Ledger: This replaces the bank account. It displays your Resilience Credits—value earned from waste recycling, water testing, or lottery-selected governance service. It also shows your “Contribution Score” to the Biocentric Mandate.
3. The Diplomatic Handshake: When you travel to a sister Pueblo, your passport performs an “Inter-City Handshake” (an idea borrowed from an environment-energy-services agreement, proposed by lottery-selected assembly, between the Tokyo district of Setagaya and the city of Nagano). It instantly validates your rights to local services (housing, health, transit) in the new city, as if you were at home. Your local “credits” are universally accepted across the Planetary Mesh.
4. The “Island Mode” Backup: A localized version of the passport’s ledger is stored on a small physical chip (reminiscent of a seed). If the global internet goes dark, your passport still works offline, proving your role and resources within the local Redoubt.
