Democracy Unboxed: A Citizen Assembly for the International Day of Democracy

How can citizens shape laws? Join us to explore how innovative democratic tools work in Germany and the EU. Learn, discuss, and co-create ideas on how citizens can make their voices heard with other citizens, experts, and civil society from across Europe.

This event is part of Citizens' Action for Democracy (CitiDem) – an EU-funded project empowering citizen participation. We will discuss:

  • How citizens participate in Germany’s democracy beyond elections

  • How innovative EU-level democratic tools work

  • A deep dive into the process and methods

  • What’s working, what isn’t, and what we can improve

Organised by Democracy International with CitiDem partners from 12 European countries.
