Digital Tools - Stronger Communities

Colombia

The Activa Buenaventura project is an initiative designed to promote digital civic engagement (Marea Digital) in Buenaventura, Colombia, by strengthening collaboration between citizens and public institutions.

By leveraging technological advancements, the project aims to create innovative tools that enhance participation, inclusivity, and democratic processes in public decision-making.
Developed by Fundación Corona and Fundación Carvajal, it empowers local communities, particularly underrepresented groups, to actively shape policies that impact their regions. The project’s success is highlighted through the experiences of activists, illustrating how increased civic involvement leads to more transparent, accountable, and equitable governance.
